Linda Dunn writes:
We had a rude awakening when the venue guy (Victory Park) told me we had to be out by 4 pm. We made some drastic format decisions but were at least able to tell the fencers before they started & not half way through. Even with our best efforts, we still ran over by 30 minutes. They weren't happy & I don't know how much longer we will be able to fence there. With few exceptions, the fencers were very accommodating.

On a side note, I would love to be able to thank all the parents & fencers who helped out to set-up, tear down and clean up, they were wonderful

08-Sep-2002 Prep and C Foil

The 2002-2003 season got off to a bit of a rocky start when the venue had to be changed at the last moment. The City of Pasadena requested significant changes to our insurance policy which could not be incorporated in time for the Prep and C foil events. While the division officers feel they got their fingers severly burned, they did manage to pull a near disaster out of the proverbial fire.

SwordPlay Studios was kind enough to host the events. Thank you, Tim!
