Come and enjoy a Southern California tradition during the holiday season!

NOTE: Traditionally, this event has defined "Mixed" to be by gender but other combinations will be cosidered, such as, a Vet-Youth pair or a A-U team or Mother-Daughter. Without any negative connotations, one could consider the term mixed to imply a stronger-weaker combination.

The idea is to bring members of the division together in ways that are outside the realm of normal competition. In brief, to meet in friendship during the holiday season.

The Faulkner Mixed Doubles will pit a team of two people against another team using both foil and epee.

A coin toss determines which team chooses the starting gender (or more generally, strength); the other team picks the first weapon.

Each mixed team will fence in a pool to 5 touches. Team members switch when the score reaches 3 or at 1 1/2 minutes, half-way through the 3 minute bout. At the switch, the trailing team picks the second weapon.
